Andrew Hoffmann

Founder - Rock Island LLC 

Andrew Hoffmann founded Rock Island LLC in 2017 to assist single family offices and institutional investors source direct investment opportunities in the global real asset sectors, including agriculture, energy, infrastructure, and real estate.  Through an affiliation with Gallatin Capital LLC, a licensed broker dealer based in New York, Rock Island LLC also offers capital raising and private placement services to operating companies and fund sponsors.   Andy has 28 years of investment experience as an investment banker, portfolio manager, and product manager for real assets and other alternatives investment strategies.   Over this time, he has been based in New York, Hong Kong, Singapore, London, Palo Alto, and Newport Beach, CA.   Andy brings a unique combination of experience on both the buyside, as MD of Investments for a large single family office, and sell-side with firms that include Merrill Lynch, JP Morgan, Brookfield Asset Management, and PIMCO.   Andy is from Milwaukee WI and has a Bachelor of Science with distinction in Economics and Political Science from the University of Wisconsin – Madison.
